Indramat is an abbreviation that comes from the words “INdustrialization, RAtionalization, and
autoMATion.” Indramat manufactured and sold servo motor equipment through the Sixties and

These units have a base motor speed of 1500 RPM and a peak speed of 9000 RPM. Their nominal torque ranges from 22 to 48 Nm. These models can come with optional holding brakes, motor blowers, high-resolution motor feedbacks, digital servo feedbacks, or digital servo feedbacks with an integral absolute encoder.

2AD101:

Motor models beginning with 2AD101 come in two sizes indicated by either a C or D as the seventh character in the model number. These units have a base motor speed of 1500 RPM and a peak speed of 9000 RPM. Their nominal torque ranges from 48 to 64 Nm. These models can come with optional holding brakes, motor blowers, high-resolution motor feedbacks, digital servo feedbacks, or digital servo feedbacks with an integral absolute encoder.

2AD104:

Motor models beginning with 2AD104 come in three sizes indicated by either a B, C, or D as the seventh character in the model number. REPLACEMENT CAPABILITIES

Sometimes having an Indramat spindle motor repaired is not the best option.

Extensive motor damage or unacceptable lead times, may make replacement options a more intelligent and economical choice. Servo Repair International provides various replacement options for many Indramat products. The older motors may be crossed over to newer products or other competing manufacturers. We can also provide our own direct replacement motors as replacements. Many times just a simple feedback device crossover may be needed to increase turnaround time and better performance.
