Contraves servo motors have been associated with numerous brands and manufacturers since the late Seventies. Control Systems Research, Powertron, Cleveland Machine Controls, Cleveland Motion Controls, and EG&G Torque Systems are all names that may be found attached to the models in the series listed below. Despite their ownership changing hands in various acquisitions over the years, these motors have been manufactured consistently since the mid-Eighties.

Contraves Drives We Service:
The NC100 series has a continuous current between 5 - 15 Amps and a peak current range of 10 - 35 Amps. Based on the specific model a drive could have force air ventilation or be convection cooled. Available in 115 and 230 VAC.
This series of drives is made for brushed motors. Based on the model it can continuously put out 7 - 21 Amps and can handle peaks at 15 - 45 Amps. Power outpust is 100 VDC.
The NC600 series comes in a several different models that can have a continuous current between 12.5 - 30 Amps and peak at 25 - 60 Amps. The output voltage is 32 - 162 VDC.
This series of brushed motor drives has an output current of 10 - 40 Amps continuous and 25 - 100 Amps peak. Across the series 155 VDC is output max.

Sometimes having an Contraves DC servo drive repaired is not the best option.
Extensive motor damage or unacceptable lead times, may make replacement options a more intelligent and economical choice. Servo Repair International provides various replacement options for many Contraves products. The older DC servo drives may be crossed over to newer products from Contraves / CMC or other competing manufacturers. We can also provide our own direct replacement DC servo motors as replacements. Many times just a simple feedback device crossover may be needed to increase turnaround time and better performance.
